Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is a limited-run cultural attraction showcasing handcrafted illuminated lantern art.
Promoting seasonal attendance

The challenge:
The festival required a steady stream of high-quality creative to maintain momentum throughout its run. With a short season and rotating installations, content needed to feel fresh, timely, and visually compelling while remaining consistent with an established brand identity and international art direction.
The APPROACH:
High-frequency creative production
Delivered 4–5 social posts per week over a six-month period, balancing promotional needs with experiential storytelling. Content was designed to sustain interest before launch, drive attendance during peak weeks, and reinforce urgency as the festival progressed.
Transforming archival assets into new narratives
Leveraged Tianyu’s existing image library and event photography, using compositing, retouching, and graphic overlays to create original visuals optimized for social feeds. This allowed the brand to scale output without constant on-site shooting.
Announcement-driven storytelling
Played a key role in the official Philadelphia festival announcement, creating visually striking assets that introduced the event to local audiences and framed it as a must-see seasonal experience. The announcement content emphasized scale, wonder, and nighttime spectacle to maximize shareability.
